The wood block
printing for books and textile used by Chinese about 8th century A.D.
The Egyptians also used printing blocks around 400 A.D. The Chinese and Indians
made
the simple blocks for the printing on the cotton, later this technique was
brought to
Persia through Europe and India.
These are the traditional Persian Printing on silk. Hifa tried to keep and
follow the
traditional technique and design, using hand made blocks and full color print.
Hifa made 64 Wooden Blocks inspired by the Persian art for printing on silk
under guidance of Master teacher Ganjineh in Tehran.
